Rules for providing access to the territory of Drawa National Park for tourism

In order to protect the natural and cultural advantages of the Drawa National Park territory the following rules for providing access to the Park territory are established in compliance with Nature Protection Act of 16th April 2004 (Journal of Laws of 2009, no. 151, item 1220 as amended):

§ 1

1. Marked tourist trails and educational trails referred to in Annex no. 2 to Directive no. 0100-18/2012 of the DNP Director are available for pedestrian traffic during the whole year from dawn till dusk.

2. Also bicycles and cross-country skis are allowed on routes available for pedestrian traffic.

3. Marked horse-riding trails and public roads are available for horse-riding tourism.

 

§ 2

  1. Vehicles are allowed exclusively on the roads referred to in Annex no. 2 to the Directive no. 0100-18/2012 of the DNP Director.

§ 3

1. Water tourism (kayaks, canoes, and rubber dinghies) is allowed on the water trail of Drawa River from 1st July to 15th March, from 9 a.m. till 7 p.m.

2. The number of persons allowed on the water trail of Drawa River during one day amounts to 700 persons.

3. Kayaking trips on Korytnica from Bogdanka bridge to Bogdanka camping site are allowed from 1st July to 15th March.

4. Kayaking tourism and using swimming equipment on other reservoirs is prohibited.

5. All forms of providing access to the DNP territory for tourism may be temporarily suspended, and the maximum amount of persons allowed at the same time in places available for tourists may be decreased if there is such necessity resulting from protection measures being conducted or if any risks for DNP are found.

 

§ 4

1. Camping is allowed exclusively in the places referred to in Annex no. 2 to the Directive no. 0100-18/2012 of the DNP Director.

2. Persons staying in the camping sites and other areas provided in the DNP territory are obliged to maintain cleanliness. Rubbish visible in the surroundings of any visitor will be treated as produced by this person. 

3. Using of detergents is prohibited.

4. Tourists vising DNP may use the stopping places at the water trail of Drawa River.

5. Stay in the stopping places at the water trail of Drawa River is free of charge and allowed from dawn till dusk.

6. Lighting campfires is allowed only in places designated for such purpose.

        § 5

1.    Guides of organized groups realizing common programme, who are not a DNP employee are obliged to submit the tour in the Park Administration in order to obtain permission.  Car rallies, biker rallies and angling competition are prohibited in the territory of DNP. For other events the consent of the DNP Director is required. 

 

§ 6

 Water reservoirs of DNP are provided for angling in compliance with "Regulations of amateur angling" which constitutes Annex no. 1 to Directive no. 39/2009 of the DNP Director.

 

§ 7

1. Charges are imposed for entry and providing access to the DNP territory.

2. Tickets for entry to DNP for the current year are available from 1st June to 31st December.

3. The only document entitling to sail to the DNP territory as well as to use the camping sites is the entry ticket and in the case of persons entitled to discounts or exempt from fees it is in addition a document confirming the right to discount or exemption.

4. Price table for entry and providing access to the DNP territory is the Annex no. 3 to the Directive no. 0100-18/2012 of the DNP Director.

5. Entry tickets are available only in the DNP Tourist Information Centres after paying the fee. In the case of money transfer to the DNP bank account (BGK O/Szczecin 29113011760022 212236200008) the tickets may be collected only in the Tourist Information Centre - "Przystań Wodna" in Drawno upon presenting the proof of payment and signing the receipt confirmation which constitutes Annex no. 4 to the Directive no. 0100-18/2012 of the DNP Director.

6. Payments to the bank account should be made not later than 7 working days before the planed stay in the Park territory.

7. It is recommended to enquire about availability of places in the DNP Information Centres before making the payment to the bank account.

8. When making the payment to the bank account, please state in the transfer name all details required to issue a ticket (number of persons, tents, cars, caravans, motorcycles, dates when you will be using the sites and camping site names). In case of providing incomplete data the amounts paid reduced by the operating costs will be returned.

9. Making payments to the DNP bank account for fees provided in the current price lists which are not confirmed by obtaining the entry ticket does not entitle to entry and access to the park for tourist, education, recreation and sports purposes.

10. Due to the established limit of persons allowed at the same time in the territory of the Park, making of payment to the bank account is not tantamount to the guarantee of obtaining the entry ticket to DNP. If there are no entry tickets or DNP access tickets for one/many items stated in the transfer title, the paid amounts reduced by operating costs shall be returned within three working days from the date of crediting the DNP account

11. Every person exempt from the fee or entitled to discount for entry to the DNP territory may use one ticket a day.

12. Persons intending to use the statutory exemption from fees for entry to DNP are obliged to substantiate the right for exemption by presenting a document confirming the dwelling place before purchasing the ticket. Obtaining a free ticket requires giving the recipient's consent to use and process personal data exclusively for the needs of Drawa National Park.

13. Persons exempt from fees or entitled to discounts are obliged to present a document confirming the right to exemption or discount in case of ticket control. Entry ticket to DNP must not be transferred to third parties.

14. Lack of a document confirming the right to exemption or refusing to present such document before purchasing the entry ticket will result in refusing to issue the ticket by the DNP employee and in case of ticket control it is subject to penal liability in compliance with petty offence code.

15. A penalty may be imposed on a tourist having no ticket.

16. In justified cases the Director may give consent to exemption from fees for access to Drawa National Park.

17. Drawa National Park does not accept returns of purchased entry and/or access tickets to DNP.

 

§ 8

  1. Staying in places available in DNP may be hazardous to your health and life. Decision about entering Drawa National Park is made independently by an individual tourist based on this person's own experience and at this person's own risk.   In case of organized groups the decision will be made by the group‎‎'s supervisor or tourist organizer.
  2. Every tourist staying in DNP will be liable for consequences of this person's own actions, and in particular for failing to obey the current regulations and markings.
  3. DNP is not liable for damaging tourist equipment.
  4. Persons staying in the DNP territory are obliged to make themselves acquainted with rules of using DNP territory for tourism, to adjust their activity plans to their abilities and current conditions as well as to use the equipment suitable to the type of activity taken which is in working order and use it as directed.
  5. DNP administration is not responsible for information about the Park including information about tourist trails, parking sites and protection zones which are published in materials not consulted with DNP administration and recommends adhering to the local information boards and markings or materials provided by the Park. 

§ 9

 Any activities which may damage or change elements of natural or cultural heritage are prohibited in the Park territory, and the following activities are prohibited in particular:

a) littering and polluting of water, air and soil,

b) frightening away, catching or killing wild animals, destroying burrows, dens and nests, removing eggs and collecting antlers,

c) damaging and destroying plants,

d) lighting campfires and camping outside of designated places,

e) disturbing the silence,

f)  collecting wild plants and mushrooms and their parts,

g) using motor boats and other motor driven equipment,

h) organization of recreation-sports events without consent of the DNP Director,

i) swimming in waters administrated by DNP, excluding designated places referred to in Annex no. 2 to Directive no. 0100-18/2012 of the DNP Director,

j) diving in waters administrated by DNP.

§ 10

Based on provisions of Nature Protection Act the employees of the Park Guard as well as other entitled employees of the Park Service have the right to control tourists staying in the territory of DNP and to control permissions, licences and entry tickets.

§11

Failing to comply with the binding rules of Drawa National Park is an offence within the meaning of provisions of Part 11 of the Nature Protection Act and is subject to penal liability in compliance with Petty Offences Procedure Code.

 

§ 12

The natural and cultural heritage found in Drawa National Park is entrusted to care of all visitors to the Park.
