Moczel river
Moczel is a small stream running in a horizontal land gully Rynna Moczelska. It carries waters flowing out of Lake Muliste (outside the Park) and Lake Świnka (Arkońskie), and flows into Drawa at its right bank, by the Moczele forest settlement.
Before the founding of the Park some bead-like fish ponds existed within Moczel. The stream’s length (caunted along with the lake and the ponds) is 3km. The stream is mentioned in medieval documents. From the 14th to 16th century the stream provided a northern border to the forest belonging to the city of Choszczno. Its name is derived from the Slavic word “moczar”, “moczyc” (“to wet”).
