Rules of providing access to the Drawa National Park (DNP) waters for amateur fishing.

A. The waters at the Drawa National Park are classified as special waters.

B. An admission ticket, referred to as a license along with  a fisherman card and a register of catch constitute sole documents authorizing the amateur fishing called angling in the waters of DPN, is only known.

C. Fees for licenses for individual water bodies shall be determined by the Chief Officer of the Park by way of a relevant ordinance.

D. The fees referred to in Section C shall be paid in the form of an admission ticket purchased at the Tourist Information Offices of the Drawa National Park or credited to a Drawa National Park’s bank account via the ticket sales platform for e-tickets

E. fishing catch is recorded and the return of such a register is a prerequisite for purchasing another license.

F. In cases not provided for in these rules, the provisions of the PAA [Polish Angling Association] Rules of amateur fishing shall apply.

G. Periodic changes concerning admission of fishing in certain water bodies, certain species of fish, their size and daily limits are accepted.

Specific provisions

1.Fishing in the Drawa river is allowed from Dubie Południowe Lake (Adamowo) to the bridge at the Kamienna power plant between 1 January and 15 March, as well as between 1 July and 31 December, from the western shore of Ostrowiec Lake only from the bridges, and from the north-western shore of Sitno Lake only from the bridges. Fishing on the lakes is permitted between 1 April and 30 November.

2.The number of anglers in individual water bodies is limited.

3. Ice fishing is prohibited.

4. Persons fishing in the Drawa River are allowed to walk on foot in the river and along its banks.

5. The Park has designated areas for free of charge parking of motor vehicles.

6. An entry and parking of a car at a camping site on the Drawa River is payable.

7. Setting fires and camping outside designated places is prohibited.

8.Fishing from sailing equipment in the park waters is prohibited.

9. Using live and dead fish as bait is not allowed.

10. Baiting up on the lakes or on the river within the park is not admitted.

11.Angling and moving around the Park is allowed only during daytime (from sunrise to sunset).

12. In the event of a fire hazard, and after stocking, the effective licenses purchased by anglers may be disabled and license sales may be suspended.

13. Spinning and fly fishing methods should be applied on the Drawa river, along the whole section. Flies must be fixed on barbless hooks and anchors must be non-burred.

14. Float fishing, by using only vegetable bait, is allowed from yjr Drawa outflow from Dubie Południowe Lake (Adamowo) to the Barnim bridge.

15.the total quantity of fish from the said group caught and taken from the Drawa is: 1 per day - salmon, grayling, certa, barbel, catfish.

16. Grayling fishing is prohibited from 1 January to 15 March.

17. It shall be permitted to fish in the river by spinning from 1 February to 15 March and from 1 July to 30 September.

18.Unauthorised building of overpasses, bridges and coastal vegetation mowing is not allowed.

19.Littering the Park area is forbidden. Anglers are required to keep the place neat and tidy.

20. In Ostrowieckie and Sitno lakes:

- bait set forth in the rules of the PAA may be applied, with the exception of live and dead fish.

- a take able size of 50 cm for pike and a daily catch limit of 2 pieces shall be introduced.

- no quantitative limits shall apply to the catch of bream, roach and silver bream.

21. Fishing for lake brown trout, salmon and vimba bream is forbidden.

22. In a case of catch of carp, silver Crucian carp or rainbow trout in the waters of the Park, you need to take the caught fish away from the fishery.

23. Organizing fishing competitions at the Park is not allowed.

24.Crossbow fishing in the waters of the Park is prohibited.

25. Documents authorising fishing, ie. a fisherman card, valid license and a register of catch must be produced on request of persons vested with inspection authorities, i.e.: Drawa National Park guards and the Police.

26. Violation of the provisions of these regulations shall result in the cancellation of the license without compensation along with a parallel administration of sanctions under the Act of 18 April 1985 on  Inland Fishing and its implementing legislation.

Regulations come into force on the day of 1 April 2015.

At the same time the Rules of amateur fishing in the Drawa National Park waters of 30 December 2009 shall expire.
