Detailed Rules

1. Fishing is allowed in Drawa river, from lake Dubie South (Adamowo) to Kamienna power-house, from the western bank of Lake Ostrowieckie (from the entrance of Płociczna river to the exit of the canal that’s driving water to Rybałówka), and the north-western bank of Lake Sitno, according to the signs posted in those territories.
2. Under-ice fishing is forbidden.
3. Parking areas and access roads to them are marked throughout the Park; in all other places walking is the only allowed means of transportation.

This set of rules starts being valid as it is signed. It replaces the Amateur Fishing Rules in the DPN Waters from 01.02.1993, along with its later changes.

We, the fishermen, are aware of the fact that fishing in a national park is a special privilege and requires strict discipline from the fishermen. We confirm this by respecting all the DNP rules, and taking this pledge:

1. We can fish only in 2 lakes: Sitno and Ostrowieckie, from 1 April to 30 November, and in Drawa from 1 January to 14 March and from 1 July to 31 December, on the Drawa fragment from Lake Dubie South to Kamienna power plant.
2. There are fees for fishing and parking on camp grounds.
3. When fishing, we will use the special docks situated on the west and north/west bank.
4. We are not allowed to lure fish and to use live fish as bait (not in the lakes and not in Drawa).
5. When driving a car, we have to leave it in the marked are and then walk to the fishing spot.
6. We are only allowed to fish in the DPN waters during daytime.
7. While fishing, we must avoid areas marked as reserves (marked with blue rings on the trees).
8. On no account can we make our own fishing spots (we don’t built our own docks or cut any plants at the banks), nor can we build fires if we are not on camping grounds. We certainly don’t litter by the water.
9. We also don’t count on fishing under the ice; those plans can be realized only outside of the Park.
10. Drawa will be abundant for us if we use only artificial bait, and toothless hooks.
11. The best fishing method is NO KILL, but if we want, we can take with us only one specimen from each of these groups: salmon, greyling, vimba, barbel, and catfish.
12. Between Drawno and Barnimie bridge we can also use plant bait, aside from the artificial one.
13. From the lakes we can only take 2 pike of at least 50 cm in length.
14. We can take limitless quantities of bream, roach, carp, and eel.
15. If we notice something special, worthy of attention (posts, feeding grounds of water mammals, or unusual occurrences), or something alarming, we won’t be indifferent, we will notify the park service workers, we will telephone.
16. We conscientiously fill out our fishing register that we acquire while purchasing the fishing permit, and we will return it to the park management (in person or by mail).
17. We shall return to the Park waters not only for fishing adventures, but also to admire the beautiful landscapes, and delight ourselves in the silenie.
